This course is an introduction to materials science, a field that describes the behavior of materials by utilizing principles of chemistry and physics to engineer new materials and predict their resultant properties. Materials processing methods and the resulting microscopic structures and macroscopic thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties will be investigated. 01/05/2026 - 03/21/2026
