
This course is the second of the two-part series that will prepare students to enter the workforce as an emergency medical service provider. Topics include patient assessment, treatment/stabilization for environmental and trauma emergencies, providing emergency care to special patient populations, and EMS operations. Includes 20 hours of observational time in an emergency department and with an EMS unit. Upon successful completion, students will qualify to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians cognitive certification exam. Required: Student Petition. 06/23/2025 - 09/06/2025
