This FLC focuses on giving students meaningful, useful, and developmentally appropriate feedback. We will focus on how to give feedback in a way that is sustainable, manageable, and prioritized to minimize the workload without losing quality or effectiveness. Materials and resources will support feedback practices across class modalities and types (face-to-face, online, hybrid, labs, etc.), and we will explore formative and summative feedback practices. Building effective feedback skills and tools is a high-impact teaching and learning practice that can improve student learning and development, build trust and confidence with students, and save you time and energy in grading, assessing, and communicating with students.
