This online course builds on the basic reading and writing skills covered in WRD-090 and prepares students to be successful in WR-121, college-transfer-level composition. Students will read shorter college-level texts and create short essays responding to them. Topics include how to follow a writing process, perform basic research, work in a writing group, and reflect on one's own learning. Class meets entirely online but with no set meetings. Work is independent but not self-paced: there are two deadlines per week.
