Introduction to report and proposal writing, focusing on organization, form, and style. Emphasis on materials gathered from professional fields such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, government, criminal justice, business, engineering, technology, science, and public relations. The course prepares students to produce clear, informative, and persuasive documents. The purpose and target audience influence choices about how information is presented including writing style, document layout, vocabulary, sentence and paragraph structure, and visuals.
