This course will present an overview of The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) criteria related to addiction and substance use. Students will gain familiarity with the use of the ASAM Criteria to enhance the use of multidimensional assessments to develop patient-centered service plans.
